The CUPRA Raval is the latest addition to the brand’s EV range and is aimed at urban driving. The Raval has been designed, developed and will be produced in Barcelona, and is based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ platform.
The entry-level Origin model uses a 37kWh battery with 115PS. V1 and V2 models will be offered with either a 37kWh battery (135PS) or a larger 52kWh battery producing 210PS. The 52kWh option provides a range of up to around 280 miles and can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 23 minutes.
The VZ sits at the top of the range and is only available with the 52kWh battery. It produces 225PS and has a range of around 250 miles. It also includes additional performance features such as an electronic limited slip differential and Dynamic Chassis Control.
Inside, the Raval features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch infotainment display. Most vehicle controls are managed through these screens. The steering wheel has been redesigned and includes physical buttons, along with controls for driving modes and regenerative braking.
The Raval will go on sale in the UK this summer, with prices starting from £23,785. It will be available in four trims: Origin, V1, V2 and VZ.
