In addition to their passenger range, which includes the fully electric MPVs Maxus MIFA 9 and Maxus MIFA 7, their commercial offerings provide electric solutions for businesses in need of vans.

T90ev eTerron 9

In this blog, we will introduce the Maxus T90EV and eTerron 9, the brand's Double Cab Pickups.

Maxus T90 EV

Available in various markets since 2021, the T90 EV replaces the diesel engine of the Maxus T90 with an 88.5kWh battery. Launched in the UK in 2023, the E-T90 was the country’s first all-electric double cab pickup.

Comparable in size to the Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200, the T90 EV offers a payload capacity of 100kg, aligning it with traditional internal combustion engine alternatives, such as the Ford Ranger Limited or Isuzu D-Max Automatic.

The integrated 88.5kWh battery allows for a range of up to 205 miles (WLTP). With a maximum charging rate of 80kW, the T90 EV can recharge from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes. For those using an 11kW AC charger at home, a full charge can be achieved in approximately 9 hours, assuming they have a 3-phase 11kW wall box. If using the standard 7kW wall box, it will take just over 13 hours for a 100% charge.

Maxus eTerron 9

Launched in the UK in late 2024, the eTerron 9 is the UKs first 4WD, all electric DCPU, set to succeed the T90 ev.

This vehicle is larger than a Ford Ranger and boasts a power output of 435bhp, surpassing that of the Ford Raptor, while offering a towing capacity of 3500kg (braked) that competes with the Ford Ranger. The eTerron 9 aims to deliver as an-electric alternative.

Both the Luxury and Premium models feature a 102.2kWh battery, providing a range of up to 267 miles (WLTP). With a maximum charging speed of 115kW, recharging from 20% to 80% will take just under 45 minutes. Those using an 11kW AC charger at home can expect a full charge in about 12 hours, provided they have a 3-phase 11kW wall box.

While the E Terron 9 competes with internal combustion engine alternatives in various aspects, its payload capacity is somewhat limited for a DCPU, at just 620kg, which is significantly less than that of the T90 ev, and other DCPUs currently available, but equal to the Ford Raptor.

Both trim levels come equipped with a comprehensive set of safety features, earning the DCPU a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

The E Terron 9 also features vehicle-to-load functionality, allowing you to power external devices. Sockets located beneath the bonnet and in the cargo area enable you to connect and power equipment directly from the pickup's battery.

Notable features of the eTerron 9 include an all-terrain driving mode, offering six settings to enhance control. Additionally, it is equipped with air suspension that allows for easy adjustment of the ride height. With a simple push of a button, the truck's cargo bed can be lowered by 60mm towards the ground thanks to this air suspension.

The cab design varies slightly between the luxury and premium trims, but both come standard with a dual-screen setup featuring a 12.3-inch cluster and central touch screens. They also include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Type A and Type C USB ports, wireless phone charging, a heated steering wheel, and heated front and rear seats. The Premium trim further enhances the experience with a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and massaging front driver seats, along with driver memory and an electric 8-way lumbar support seat.
