The new Puma Gen-E joins Ford's all-electric lineup, which includes the Capri, Explorer, and Mustang Mach-E,to offer zero-emission driving for those seeking a compact crossover.
The Puma Gen-E boasts an impressive range of up to 233 miles (376 km) on a full charge (WLTP). With a fast charger, it can go from 10 to 80 percent in about 23 minutes. It features seamless acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.0 seconds, along with quicker steering response.
Thanks to its compact electric powertrain, the Puma Gen-E provides even greater space efficiency. The innovative MegaBox boot has been upgraded to the GigaBox, allowing for up to 574 liters of cargo space with the rear seats in use. Additionally, a 43-liter frunk utilises the space left by the petrol engine, perfect for storing accessories that need to be easily accessible, even when the boot is full.
The exterior design reflects the spirit of the latest-generation Puma, featuring distinctive and aerodynamic enhancements. A bold "shield" design replaces the traditional grille, giving it a fresh look inspired by the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV. A sporty rear spoiler and unique alloy wheels contribute to the refreshed design and improve aerodynamics for enhanced performance.
Inside, the modern design continues with two high-definition display screens positioned for easy access by the driver. Ford’s latest generation SYNC 4 infotainment system includes cloud-connected navigation to help navigate traffic, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allowing seamless syncing between smartphones and the vehicle. The built-in Alexa feature enables drivers to use voice commands for tasks like checking restaurant hours or adding items to their shopping list.
The newly raised center console offers convenient storage. The armrest can slide to find the most comfortable position, and there's wireless phone charging to keep devices powered throughout the trip.
The Puma Gen-E simplifies driving with an electronic shifter located behind the steering wheel, making it easy to switch between drive, neutral, and reverse.
Available Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Centering accelerates and brakes smoothly for a more natural feel. It can utilise Predictive Speed Assist to adjust cruising speed for curves or roundabouts.
Optional Dynamic Matrix LED headlight technology employs Predictive Dynamic Bending Light to illuminate the road ahead more effectively, adjusting the beam pattern for optimal visibility.
