The concept that has caught the world's attention

With the launch of Jaguar's new logo and branding in preparation for its electric-only brand relaunch, the British car manufacturer has become a hot topic across the world. Following weeks of debate, news articles and social media posts surrounding the rebranding, Jaguar has unveiled the Type 00 concept.

Much like the way the rebranding captured attention, the Type 00 concept has intrigued the globe, sparking conversations about Jaguar's daring new vision.

The 'Type' prefix pays homage to the brand's heritage, referencing iconic models like the groundbreaking E-type. The first 'zero' represents zero tailpipe emissions, while the second signifies its role as the inaugural vehicle in Jaguar's new lineage.

Overal, the design defies conventional electric vehicle aesthetics, featuring a long bonnet, elegant roofline, large alloy wheels, a fastback profile, and a boat-tail, resulting in a striking silhouette.

The bold new front showcases upright, flush surfaces with the new Jaguar emblem at its center. A distinctive light signature accentuates the vehicle's corners, enhancing its width and grounding the overall design.

Jaguar Type 00 – Brass ingot with Jaguar Leaper The side profile boasts dynamic proportions, with the Jaguar 'leaper' elegantly etched into brass ingots on each side of the vehicle. These ingots reveal rear-facing cameras when needed, along with charging ports and front air intakes, which will remain concealed until activated.

The rear of the vehicle makes a striking impression with a glassless tailgate, similar to the Polestar 4, and a panoramic glazed roof.

A Satin Rhodon Rose model—called 'Miami Pink' in homage to the pastel tones of the city's iconic Art Deco architecture—draws inspiration from the unique rose hue that brass develops over time. It is accompanied by Inception Silver Blue variant, known as 'London Blue,' inspired by the Opalescent Silver Blue of the 1960s, Jaguar E-Type chosen to reflect Jaguar's British roots.

Jaguar Type 00 – Cabin Butterfly doors and a 'pantograph' tailgate open to unveil a modernist interior. The cabin features three brass lines that run the length of the interior, with a central 3.2-meter-long brass spine dividing two floating large digital screens which can be folded away for a “digital detox”. Key driver information is shown on the slender display running round the base of the windscreen.

The two-seat coupé concept unveiled at the Miami Art Week in Florida will not go into production. However, it is believed to share design elements with the upcoming four-seat GT production car, set to hit the roads in 2026.This production car will be built on the new Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), which will also support two additional models by the end of 2028.
