New 7-Seat Electric MPV and Premium Elite Trim

Kia has unveiled the next evolution of its award-winning PV5 Passenger line-up, introducing a new 7-seat variant and a high-specification Elite trim level designed to broaden the appeal of its all-electric people mover.

The updates arrive as demand continues to grow for flexible electric passenger vehicles across both private and commercial sectors, with applications ranging from family transport and airport transfers to ride-hailing services and corporate shuttle operations.

Alongside the new additions, Kia has also introduced a series of MY27 upgrades aimed at improving comfort, practicality and everyday usability across the entire PV5 Passenger range.

A New 7-Seat Electric MPV for Families and Business Users

The headline addition is the arrival of the Kia PV5 Passenger 7-seat, providing significantly greater flexibility than the existing five-seat model.

Built on Kia's dedicated E-GMP.S platform, the new variant adopts a practical 2-2-3 seating layout, creating a spacious and versatile cabin that can comfortably accommodate larger families, executive transport services and shared mobility operators.

Unlike many traditional seven-seaters, the PV5's purpose-built electric architecture allows Kia to maximise interior space throughout all three rows.

Passengers benefit from:

  • Up to 1,041mm of legroom

  • Up to 1,076mm of headroom

  • Up to 1,732mm of shoulder room

  • Low 399mm step-in height

  • Sliding side doors for easier access

The result is a vehicle that delivers genuine comfort for all occupants, rather than treating the third row as an afterthought.

With all seats in place, the PV5 Passenger 7-seat offers 318 litres of luggage space, expanding to 785 litres when the rear row is folded flat.

Up to 256 Miles of Range and Rapid Charging

The existing PV5 Passenger 5-seat remains available with both Standard Range and Long Range battery options.

The new 7-seat model is offered exclusively with Kia's larger 71.2kWh Long Range battery, delivering over 242 miles of WLTP range.

For operators covering longer daily mileages, rapid charging capability helps minimise downtime.

Using a 150kW DC charger, the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.

Kia's charging ecosystem also continues to expand, with customers gaining access to more than 74,000 public charging points across the UK and over one million charging points across Europe through Kia Charge.

MY27 Updates Improve Everyday Usability

Alongside the new model introduction, Kia has enhanced the entire PV5 Passenger range with a series of MY27 updates.

These improvements focus on the areas drivers interact with most frequently, helping to make daily operation more comfortable and convenient.

New features include:

  • Driver height-adjustable armrest

  • Walk Away Lock functionality

  • Compact roof antenna

  • Improved access to height-restricted car parks thanks to a vehicle height below 1.9 metres

These updates further reinforce the PV5's appeal as both a family vehicle and a professional transport solution.

Introducing the New Elite Grade

Kia has also expanded the model line-up with a new flagship Elite trim level.

Positioned above the existing Essential and Plus grades, Elite introduces a range of premium features aimed at customers seeking a more luxurious passenger experience.

Additional equipment includes:

  • Electric sliding side doors

  • Power door latches

  • Ventilated front seats

  • Surround View Monitor

  • Blind Spot View Monitor

  • Side parking sensors

  • Full two-tone PU upholstery

  • Premium paint finish

The result is a significantly more premium offering that could prove particularly attractive to executive transport operators and higher-end private buyers.

Strong Standard Equipment Across the Range

Even entry-level Essential models come exceptionally well equipped.

Standard features include:

  • 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • 7.5-inch digital driver display

  • LED headlights

  • Front and rear parking sensors

  • Rear-view camera

  • Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go

  • Smart Entry System

  • Forward Collision Avoidance Assist

Higher-spec Plus models add further convenience and comfort features such as heated seats, heated steering wheel, wireless charging, power tailgate, Vehicle-to-Load functionality and a heat pump.
