Longer Range, Smarter Tech and a £3,750 Electric Car Grant

The Nissan LEAF, the model that helped establish EVs in the UK, is entering its third generation with renewed purpose and a bold new direction. Production begins in Sunderland this December, powered by a facility running on 20% renewable energy, with the first customer deliveries planned for February 2026.

Since its debut in 2010, almost 700,000 LEAFs have been sold globally. This all-new iteration builds on that legacy with a class-leading range, advanced digital integration, a sharp new design language and the reassurance of British manufacturing. Now officially qualifying for the reinstated £3,750 Electric Car Grant (ECG), the LEAF once again positions itself as one of the most accessible long-range EVs on the market.

Design

Nissan has fully reimagined the LEAF for its third generation, introducing sleek crossover proportions and a strong emphasis on aerodynamic performance.

  • Flush-mounted door handles for a cleaner silhouette

  • Distinctive 3D tail-light signature

  • Optional 19” aerodynamic alloy wheels

  • Dimming panoramic roof with subtle LEAF branding

The result is a contemporary, purposeful EV designed not only to stand out, but to perform efficiently at motorway speeds.
