Design & Interior

In true Volvo fashion, the EX60 takes Scandinavian design with purpose and pushes it further into the all lectric era. The exterior has been designed to look clean, confident and efficient while the interior focuses on calm refinement, premium materials and smart everyday practicality.

A low front, sloping roofline and tapered body sides all work together to improve aerodynamics, helping the EX60 glide through the air with a drag coefficient of 0.26. That efficiency isn’t just a design detail it plays a real role in supporting the car’s impressive range.

Inside, the EX60 is built around versatility. The long wheelbase and flat floor open up noticeably more space for rear passengers, while the luggage compartment and thoughtful storage solutions make it easier to handle family life, commuting and weekend plans without feeling cramped.

For drivers who care about audio, the EX60 also steps things up with a premium 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system. For the first time in a Volvo, this includes headrest speakers in all four main seats. The EX60 will also be the first Volvo to offer Apple Music pre-installed with Dolby Atmos, bringing a more immersive Spatial Audio experience into the cabin.

Performance & Range

The EX60 has been engineered to remove the final barriers to going electric, starting with range. In an all-wheel drive configuration, the EX60 can travel up to a 503 miles on a single charge. That makes it the longest-range electric car Volvo has ever produced, and puts it ahead of many competitors in its segment.

Volvo is offering the EX60 with three powertrain options, making it easy for customers to choose the right fit. The P12 AWD Electric leads the line-up with up to 503 miles, while the P10 AWD Electric offers up to 410 miles. For those who don’t need all-wheel drive, the rear-wheel powered P6 Electric delivers up to 385 miles of range. Across the full range, the EX60 will be available in seven variants, designed to cover different needs, budgets and lifestyles.

Under the skin, the EX60 is built on SPA3, Volvo Cars’ new electric vehicle architecture, and powered by HuginCore, the company’s core computing system. Key technologies such as cell-to-body, next-generation in-house e-motors, a new battery cell design and mega casting all play a role in boosting efficiency, extending driving range and reducing weight. Volvo also says these improvements help the EX60 achieve its lowest carbon footprint for a fully electric Volvo, matching that of the smaller EX30.

Charging

The EX60 is designed to make charging feel easy. With access to a 400kW fast charger, the EX60 can add up to 211 miles of range in just ten minutes.

Safety & Tech

The EX60 is also a clear statement of Volvo’s ambition to lead in safety. Built to go above and beyond regulations and rating requirements, it represents the purest form of the Volvo Cars Safety Standard. Enabled by HuginCore, the EX60 continuously assesses the world around it through its wide array of sensors, helping it build a precise and confident understanding of its surroundings.

At the heart of the safety structure is a reinforced safety cage strengthened with boron steel, while advanced restraints work together to help provide optimal protection. The EX60 also introduces Volvo Cars’ multi-adaptive safety belt, a world-first innovation designed to deliver smarter and more personalised protection for front-seat occupants.

Technology is another major part of the EX60 story. Volvo describes it as its most intelligent car yet, combining in-house development with partnerships including Google, NVIDIA and Qualcomm Technologies Inc. The EX60 will be the first Volvo to launch with Gemini, Google’s new AI assistant, which is deeply integrated into the car and enables natural, personalised conversations without needing to remember specific commands.

The infotainment experience has also been designed to feel fast and seamless, with quick screen responses, instant map loading and smoother overall performance. And because the EX60 is built to improve over time, it will receive regular over-the-air updates, meaning customers can expect their car to get better long after delivery day.

Availability

The Volvo EX60 is now available to order. Production starts this spring at Volvo Cars’ factory in Sweden, with customer deliveries of the P6 and P10 variants beginning this summer. The P12 will follow shortly after.
