The Volvo C40 Recharge is a stylish all-electric SUV featuring a streamlined aerodynamic design, similar in size to the Hyundai Kona, BYD Atto 3, and Ford Explorer.
Launched in 2022, alongside side the XC40, this model marked the introduction of the company's first fully electric vehicle line. Initially named the C40 Recharge, it underwent significant updates in 2023 and was rebranded as the EC40 in early 2024.
The EC40 boasts Volvo's first leather-free interior, with the primary upholstery made from naturally renewable wool fibers. An alternative option combines suede textile (crafted from recycled plastic) and microtech material.
The rear offers ample space for two adults, although it may feel cramped with three. Additionally, the boot capacity mirrors that of the EX40, rated at 413 liters, along with an extra 'frunk' compartment under the hood for storing charging cables, providing an additional 31 liters of space.
