The all-new Elroq is the latest addition to Škoda's growing electric lineup. This compact SUV is the electric equivalent of the ICE Karoq, is positioned just below the acclaimed Škoda Enyaq.The Elroq will be the brand’s second all-electric vehicle built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform.
Exterior
The Elroq features a Modern Solid design, updating traditional Škoda elements with a glossy black Tech-Deck Face in place of the classic grille. It has a robust bumper with a Unique Dark Chrome insert and a redefined "four eyes" headlight design. Notably, it is the first model to display Škoda lettering on the bonnet and steering wheel, offered in the exclusive Timiano Green color.
Measuring 4,488 millimeters in length, 1,884 millimeters in width, and 1,625 millimeters in height, the Škoda Elroq has a generous wheelbase of 2,765 millimeters - comparable to the Hyundai Kona, Kia Niro, Volvo EC40 and BYD Atto 3.
Interior
The Elroq features a spacious interior with the largest boot in its segment, offering 470 liters (1,580 liters with seats down). It includes a standard 13-inch infotainment screen for better usability and incorporates sustainable materials in its Design Selections. New features like smart compartments add 48 liters of storage and a storage net for the charging cable. It also boasts advanced connectivity, assistance systems, and up to nine airbags for enhanced comfort and safety.
The Škoda Elroq features a standard 13-inch infotainment display with a streamlined menu, enhanced navigation, and an easy-to-use air conditioning interface. A physical button bar allows quick access to various functions. The Digital Cockpit offers an intuitive view of driving data, with an optional head-up display using Augmented Reality for displaying speed, traffic signs, and navigation instructions directly in the driver’s line of sight.
Powertrains
The Škoda Elroq offers three battery sizes and various powertrains. The base Elroq 50 has 125 kW output, while the Elroq 85x features all-wheel drive. The Elroq 85 boasts a range of over 560 km (WLTP) and supports fast charging at up to 175 kW, allowing its 82 kWh battery to recharge from 10 to 80% in 28 minutes. Smaller batteries in the Elroq 50 and 60 charge in 25 minutes or less.
Trim
Set to launch in the UK from mid-october, Customers can select from four familiar trim levels: SE, SE L, Edition, and SportLine, all offering impressive standard features.
Elroq SE
The SE 50 features a 55kWh (52kWh net) battery, providing over 230 miles of WLTP range. As the entry-level model, it comes with an outstanding array of standard equipment, including 19-inch Proteus silver alloy wheels, LED headlights, and LED rear lights.
Inside, the SE showcases Škoda’s elegant Loft design selection, featuring fabric and artificial leather upholstery, grey headlining, and a two-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel. Standard amenities include a large 13-inch touchscreen display, a digital cockpit, and single-zone climate control. The SE also includes a variety of convenience and safety systems, such as a rear-view camera with parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, and blind spot detection.
Elroq SE L
The SE L 60 models come equipped with a larger 63kWh (59kWh net) battery, achieving over 250 miles of WLTP range on a full charge. This model offers additional features, including a heated two-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel with paddles for recuperation selection, heated front seats, satellite navigation, and Škoda Connect - Infotainment Online and Remote Access for three years.
The SE L also includes dual-zone climate control, drive mode select, front parking sensors, and tow bar preparation. Like the SE model, the SE L is provided with a six-metre, 32A Type 2 charging cable as standard, along with rapid charging capability of up to 145kW with a suitable DC rapid charger.
Elroq Edition
The Elroq Edition model offers two battery options: 60 and 85. The 63kWh (59kWh net) option provides over 250 miles of WLTP range, while the larger 82kWh (77kWh net) battery can deliver up to 360 miles on the WLTP cycle. The Edition models enhance the SE L's specifications with 19-inch Regulus anthracite alloy wheels, distinctive dark chrome roof rails and window surrounds, and privacy glass with acoustic side windows.
Edition customers also benefit from travel assist plus, predictive adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, keyless entry, and wireless charging (15W) with a cooling function. The Elroq 85 models, equipped with the larger 82kWh (77kWh net) battery, can also utilize 175kW DC rapid charging capabilities.
Elroq SportLine
As the premium model in the Elroq lineup, the SportLine offers two battery options: 63kWh (59kWh net) or 82kWh (77kWh net), with WLTP ranges of up to 258 miles and 355 miles, respectively. SportLine models are characterized by 20-inch Asterion black alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, unique SportLine bumpers, and gloss black roof rails, door mirrors, and tailgate lettering.
Inside, SportLine models feature a custom Design Selection with microsuede and artificial leather upholstery, carbon effect decorative inserts, front sports seats, and a black headlining. A three-spoke artificial leather heated sports multifunction steering wheel with paddles for recuperation level selection is also standard.
Emphasizing its sporty essence, the Elroq SportLine comes with progressive dynamic steering. The 85 battery variant also includes sports suspension as standard, while features such as an electrically operated tailgate with kick activation and rear side airbags enhance the overall specification.
